my
practice
Dear Reader ,
I am always going to be learning, expanding, shifting, and growing; as I do, so will my practice. Currently I explore the communication of "Good Orderly Direction" through presence and curiosity in the mundane. My work finds me through my practice of showing up empty and allowing myself to be filled in the moment. I get a nudge, a curious tug, and I follow. It's a cycle of arrival, investigation, and fabrication. Currently, my visual communication involves photography, videography, digital editing, and type. Sometimes paint and other medias are included as well. My other form of communication is through writing what I call "notes" simply because that's what they feel like: small pieces of information that feel meaningful. These are written in my blog section if you'd like to sift through them. The forms feel accurate in their ability to help me express and communicate what I experience and hold dear. The information I receive is an ever-changing presence that communicates in a variety of ways. The moments I receive are random, which makes it even more fun. Sometimes it's in my morning coffee under a quiet grey sky, sometimes it's in loud, boisterous moments of dance and heavy bass. Sometimes it's in the cracks between moments. I can sum it up as creatively documenting for now. I enjoy being present enough to capture snippets of "it", that's all my practice is. I am so grateful I get to share it with you and I hope that you can receive something from it too.
